I don't have many heroes in my life, but Preston Tucker is
certainly among the few. He was a visionary in the automotive world creating a car
so far ahead of its' time that we still have not caught up. Furthermore, and
probably more to the reason why I admire him so, he was a rebel. He stood up to the
"Big Three" major American automobile manufacturers. He dared to stand up
for what he believed in ... building safe and economical cars ... despite the fact that
the U.S. government and "big business" was against him. I wish we had more
men like Preston Tucker in this country. For the complete story see the site
